Nature at its best
Bird watching along the Breede River is spectacular. The majestic Fish Eagle, the Osprey, Fish Owl, Kingfisher, Oyster Catcher, the Blue Crane and an amazing variety of other birds are often seen along the banks of the Breede River.

Witsand also offers a friendly, homely supermarket, The Sands, which also serves as a petrol station and a post office. This is a general store where anything of everything can be obtained, what they don’t have, they will order for you. They also have an auto teller. Come to Witsand for a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of the city, explore our outdoors activities and enjoy beach walks on our safe beaches.
