Are you looking for the best place to fish and watch the whales? Do you need to get away from the hustle and bustle? Then Cape Infanta is the place for you.  The small village Infanta is a seaside holiday resort and fishing hamlet situated on the western side of the breede river (opp Witsand). It is about 2 hours drive from Cape Town.

St Sebastian Bay and the surrounding hills cloaked in fynbos are a nature lover’s and fisherman’s delight. There is a slipway for launching powerboats at Infanta and a rocky shoreline with good diving and angling spots.
Infanta Whales Accommodation can sleep 2/6.  The small duplex house is very suitable for a couple with or without kids, or two couples without kids.  It would also be suitable for say 4/5 fishermen on a fishing trip.

Accommodation

The house offers a fully equipped kitchen with deepfreeze, fridge, stove, microwave oven crockery and cutlery and fully automatic washing machine. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Main bedroom has a balcony with sea view. Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen and lounge with indoor braai with all the facilities.  There is also an outside braai.. DSTV (you don’t have to bring your card with). Bedding supplied but no towels.

Please note that the garage attached to the house is not included in the occupation of the house but there is an undercover carport for two cars.
The house is a walking distance to the sea and 1 kilometer from the river mouth.

Things to do in the area...

Plenty of whales can be seen during June/November.  You can climb up the cliff, sit on a bench, and watch the whales frolicking in the water below.

Other things to do in the area: Malgas pontoon, The Bush Pub and Pizza Den are nearby.
Plenty of birds to watch and the De Hoop nature reserve is close by.
