The hotel’s private harbour is right in front of you. Now step from your balcony right onto the jetty. Watch the arriving fishing boats, enjoying a refreshment in our cozy lounge or at our fully licensed bar or our A la’ Carte Restaurant. This is not a dream it is reality at our beautiful Lodge.

Conferences and Events
We arrange conferences, weddings, special functions and other forms of personal catering. The hotel has a practical well equipped conference / special function room that seats up to 30 persons, and a large venue room seating up to 60 delegates.

From the open leisure deck overlooking the quaint harbor with its bobbing boats, one can watch the fiery South African sun setting over the tranquil waters of the mighty Breede River.
The thatched restaurant, with its homely atmosphere invites you to come and enjoy our excellent dining facilities with the pleasure of a well stocked wine cellar, concentrating on the best vintages from exclusive wineries in the eastern Breede river valley.
We are rated three star, but would like to feel that we offer five star service and dining facilities in our “Swirling Estuary” restaurant. What do we specialize in? Well of course Seafoods,with fresh fish and localy picked wild oysters to wholesome home cooked meals to the sophisticated, and then a cross section of Southern Cape traditional dishes.
Well known for our Sunday buffets which offers you a wholesome meal at a value price.
A cozy pub buzzing with friendly chatter, fisherman's stories, whale sightings and recollections of another wonderful day.

We are situated in an area rich in its historical past and hugely conscious of its natural heritage and eco-sensitive surroundings.

Enjoy a multitude of activities at the Breede River Lodge! - from relaxing water taxi's, deep sea fishing charters, skippered boat hire, bird watching, guided excursions, walks and kayaking.
A most popular excursion has become a boat trip to the “Bush Pub”. This is situated along the river with many interesting features to see and experience.
To reach the opposite side of the Breede River from Witsand to Cape Infanta people have to make use of one of the only hand operated ferry’s in the world. This is known as the Pont and operated from Sunrise to Sunset, one of the most popular tourist’s attractions.
The area is renowned for all kinds of water sport, swimming, surfing, wind surfing, deep sea and river fishing, rock, boat and fly fishing, river cruises, canoeing, sailing, spear fishing and snorkeling.
